Dr. Ed Mink, Sensei

Our Aikido Instructor is Dr. Ed Mink, Ed.D., who besides teaching Aikido, currently serves as the Director of Health Promotion and Education, Coordinator of substance Abuse Prevention, Coordinator of Substance Abuse Prevention, and Adjunct Assistant Professor in Health Services at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.

He holds a Masters degree in Community Counseling from Kent State University and earned his Doctorate in Health Science from University of Arkansas. Dr. Mink has taught at the U of A in Fayetteville since 1987 and also offers training and presentations of health related topics including stress management, mental health promotion, substance abuse prevention wellness, sexual assault prevention and personal defense.

He holds a third degree black belt in Aikido.
